Your Voice Matters in Patterson — Make It Heard on Election Day

In Patterson, we take pride in our strong sense of community. We celebrate our local businesses, care for our town’s natural beauty, and come together to solve challenges big and small. Now, we have another important way to shape our town’s future — by voting.

On Election Day, Patterson residents will choose two members of the Town Board. Four candidates are running: two current Republican board members and two new Democratic candidates. Each one brings different perspectives and priorities — but your vote is what ensures our Town Board reflects the will of the people they serve.  Presently, there are a total of five members of the Board:

Richard Williams, Supervisor (Republican)

Shawn Rogan, Deputy Supervisor (Republican)

Peter Muentener, Councilman (Republican)

Mary E Smith, Councilwoman (Republican) running for re-election

Joseph Esposito, Councilman (Republican) running for re-election

📊 Who makes up Patterson’s voters?

  • About one-third Republican

  • About one-third Democrat

  • About one-third Unaffiliated

That means every vote can make a real difference.

📉 Why turnout matters even more this year
This isn’t a presidential election year — and historically, far fewer people show up to vote. But the decisions made by the Town Board affect our everyday lives more directly than anything happening in Washington. Local issues like:

  • Property taxes

  • Public safety

  • Parks and recreation

  • Road maintenance and infrastructure

  • Economic development and local businesses

  • Environmental conservation

  • Community services and quality of life

All of these depend on thoughtful leadership that reflects your priorities.

🗳️ Don’t sit this one outPatterson’s future depends on engaged residents like you

Whether you’re registered Republican, Democrat, or not affiliated with any party — your participation matters. Be informed. Ask questions. Learn about the candidates. And most importantly:
