Patterson’s natural resources, its proximity to opportunities and desirable places, and its friendly people are the reasons why this wonderful town has been my family’s home for 33 years. I am running to be elected to our Town Board to bring a new sense of purpose and vibrancy to the many jewels that exist within our Town’s borders, including helping to tackle the decades-old problem of ushering Front Street to its potential.  .

If elected, I’ll be a fresh, forward-looking addition to the Board. I will actively pursue new funding, attract small businesses, rebuild our stagnant revenue base, and represent you as we revitalize Patterson in creative, practical ways. Among my priorities:

• Establish a Tourism & Recreation Committee to generate new, needed revenue.

• Launch a regular Town newsletter to improve communication and transparency.

• Bring additional funding to Putnam Lake through well-planned events and day passes.

• Reopen and update our Comprehensive Plan so we’re planning for our parents, children, and grandchildren.

As a high school teacher of students with diverse needs for the past 20 years, I know the value of creating opportunity for others and how to maximize the skills that exist in the people of our neighborhoods. I'm a bridge-builder, co-creating an arts organization for the community now in its 25th year. Paramount to creating these successful environments is my consistent communication skills, transparency and willingness to do things differently.  I have a proven record in my community and professional life of creating long-standing alliances for the good of others, all with respect, advocacy, integrity, perseverance and strength. I work in a collaborative nature to achieve goals as a team. 

 

In local elections, your vote truly counts! Don’t stay home! Early voting is 10/25, 10/26, 10/27, 10/29, 10/31, 11/1, and 11/2 from 9a-5p; and 10/28, 10/30 from 12p - 8pm at the Putnam County Board of Elections. You can vote at your Patterson polling location on November 4 from 6am to 9pm.
